By popular demand, cookies, chocolates, .Gelato decided to bring in the best Italian espresso and started offering other gourmet items such as crepes, and panettone. A second location opened in Yorkville in July 2011.Starting with only 100 flavours, .Gelato has grown to include 163 flavours with specialty flavours being introduced regularly. Seeing the opportunity to bring authentic Italian gelato to Canada, Alessandro set out for Toronto and .Gelato Simply Italian first opened it's doors at Yonge and Eglinton in August of 2010. Together they created and perfected many gelato recipes. Alessandro's mother, a gelato maker for 22 years, taught him the business and the gelato making technique. This year Alessandro expanded the menu to include Italian street food such as piadinas (Italian flatbread sandwiches).Owner Alessandro enjoys being creative in the gelato lab, creating flavours that keep pushing the envelope on how people view gelato.
