After graduating from the Law School of the University of British Columbia, I was called to the bar in Ontario in 1996. I have taught extensively in the areas of entertainment, including a decade at the Harris Institute for the Arts, contract and small business law, intellectual property, and frequent seminars at the Ontario College of Art & Design. I am still working exclusively in those areas and I provide smart, artists and musicians, film and television producers, intelligible advice to a variety of clients including advertising and marketing firms, and small businesses. I attended the Ontario College of Art & Design until 2003, while opening my own practice specializing in art, entertainment and intellectual property. For the first five years of my practice, Henderson LLP, Lafleur, I worked in the Intellectual Property group at Gowling, then left in 2000 to work on my own and pursue other interests. My husband, Maude and Desmond, Tom and I have two young children, and we live in the Junction in Toronto.
