The story of Edwards and Davies Jewellers begins in 1944. We supply fine jewellery and specialize in custom designs and quality repairs at the lowest price possible. In 1990 young Gord took over the helm from his dad, (who can still be found occasionally at the store when he's not in Vegas) and has continued the Edwards and Davies tradition of Service and Friendship. Gordon's son, (conveniently named Gordon as well) came to work at the store on Sept 1973. The original contract (signed by all 3 parties) is hanging in the store today. That was on Sept 22 1945. Being that Gordon was too young to sign a contract, Albert Edwards, he had to have his father, co-sign the papers. The next step was to form a partnership. Gordon entered the store and asked Mr. Davies if he could hang a repair sign in the window and split the profits on any work that came in. Being that times were tough, Mr. Davies agreed and soon the two of them were not only earning more money than they had expected, they were forging a friendship that would last for 60 years. He came to 2834 Danforth, where Llewellynn Davies was running a small watch repair shop. Sixteen year old Gordon Edwards was walking down Danforth Ave. looking for a way to advertise his new radio repair service. Everything we do comes with the Edwards and Davies Guarantee.
