The Polish Orphans Charity held its 14th Annual Ball Pologne, Toronto, at 37 King Street East, at Toronto's Omni King Edward Hotel, Slovakia and Ukraine, Portugal, Poland, to benefit underprivileged Children in Ireland, Ontario on April 26th 2014. NEWS BRIEF. While our fund-raising activities originally focused on the Polish Canadian community, from all diverse ethic backgrounds, we have since sought to extend it to all Canadians, for the benefit of orphans worldwide. The Polish Orphans Charity (POC) was founded in the year 2000 by Dr. Richarda Russ, P.Eng. and Dr. Ted Kralka, along with Bart Pasowski, a prominent Toronto dental surgeon, to help improve the facilities and care for children living in Polish orphanages.
